I give credit to anyone who plays hurt, who goes to work and grinds it out whenever they are ill or faced some adversity. CBS golf analyst, David Feherty, was in a horrific traffic accident just one month ago, and he made it to Augusta to be a part of the broadcast this past weekend. David called into the Jungle on Monday to talk about Trevor Immelman, the weekend at the Masters and his scary crash last month.
While riding his bicycle on the side of the road in Texas, David was run over by a truck with a trailer in mid-March. He suffered multiple broken ribs, a punctured lung and a shattered elbow. David told me that his first concern was whether or not he would survive the ordeal, and his second concern was whether or not he would have to miss the Masters. Well he played hurt and was out there this weekend!
David praised Trevor Immelman for winning his first career major. David said he knew Trevor when the native South African was a boy and he admitted to pulling for the kid a little bit.
