Milwaukee Brewers / 4-21-2008

One of the best positive stories of this young baseball season is Brewers' outfielder Gabe Kapler. Gabe has had one of the most interesting baseball careers ever! After retiring as a player in '06, he managed a single-A team all of last season. Now he has made a comeback as a member of the Brewers and has been “mashing the ball”!

Gabe told me that he just missed putting on the cleats and experiencing baseball as a player. He had decided to retire after the 2006 season because of certain things that he grew tired of, and then when he spent a season as a manager in the minor leagues he realized he never really appreciated those certain things the way he should have.

Gabe is a very well-spoken guy, a good interview who has an interesting story. Those types of guys usually make for “good radio”!
