NASCAR's regular season finale is this coming weekend at Richmond. 14 drivers are racing for 12 spots in the Chase for the Championship. I wanted to bring former racing great and current ESPN analyst Rusty Wallace onto the show Tuesday to break down the final race before the Playoff begins and to talk about Jimmie Johnson's quest for a third straight title.

Rusty said the track in Richmond is a short one and tempers flare, anything can happen. So those drivers who do not have their place in the Chase locked down have to survive to advance. Rusty told me that he loves Jimmie Johnson's chances of winning a third straight Sprint Cup title looking at the way he dominated the other cars Sunday in Fontana.

Rusty still thinks that he could compete on the track with the young guys today and that if the travel weren't so taxing he would probably still be in a car. Rusty was a bad ass and the sport misses him as a driver.
