Each year around this time we give Texas Head Coach Mack Brown a call to be on the show. Without fail, Mack makes himself available to us. I don't know if there is a more dependable guest on this show that Mack Brown. He has his Longhorns ranked 7th in the country going into a big game against former SWC rival Arkansas Saturday. Coach called into the show to talk about that game, his stud quarterback Colt McCoy and to give his thoughts on Vince Young.
Mack said he expects a ticked off Razorback team in Austin Saturday. Arkansas got run over by Alabama last Saturday and they probably want to rip someone's head off this weekend. Mack says his team is ready for it.
Coach told me that Colt McCoy has had an incredible season as his quarterback. He has completed 70% of his passes and has only turned the ball over once. Mack told me that Colt got criticized last year by the fans for giving the ball up too often and, though it wasn't fair, the Longhorn faithful will let you have it if you cost their team games.
Mack said that he has spoken with Vince Young since that mysterious incident three weeks ago with VY disappeared for a day. He thinks Vince was just going through some things and is confident that he will at one day become a great NFL quarterback.
