Skateboard Icon / Video Game Mogul / First Pro-Skater to land a 900 / Tony is pushing to make skateboarding an event at the 2012 Olympics and he talks about how that is going saying he believes it’s going positive and it’s on the fast-track. Hawk talked about how the X-Games bought a lot of excitement and made it a spectator sport back in 1995. Tony talked about how he was struggling up until the X-Games, trying to keep skating alive and starting up his own store. Tony talked about going from fame and riches, to hard times…graduating from school…and then being lucky enough to come back. Hawk talked about learning and then accomplishing a 900 spin move on his skateboard during the X-Games. He elaborated on the success of his first video game back in 1999. Tony gave his feeling about enjoying skating even more and having more fun with all his success now of his business…while not having to worry about paying rent and just getting by…saying that he’ll skate as long as he’s physically able to. Tony plugged his new DVD, “Secret Skate Park Tour 3”…with the premiere tonight at the X-Games. / 8-2-2007
