Virtually every YouTube clip that gets forwarded to me is the same. It’s always someone getting hurt or making a fool of himself. Then you have the requisite comments below the clip that quickly turn from crass to racist. And this clip is no different! It starts off the way they all do…a group of women, in a public place, fighting! There’s some hair pulling…some punches are thrown…boring. Wait a minute! Is that?! Could it be?! Yes!!! It’s disgraced former NBA and college hoops coach Tim Floyd stepping in to break it up! And why wouldn’t it be?!
From the NBA….to the Pac 10…to the food court at a So Cal casino.
Six months ago, he was the head coach at USC, now he’s risking his life by jumping into a casino catfight. Is that a casino food court or the set of Jerry Springer?! And check out this! Although Floyd is playing the role of peacekeeper, she’s looking to crown him with a chair. Thank goodness another cat jumped in, had his back, and kept her from doing it.
Wait a minute! Is that another former Trojan coach….HenryBbibby?! It is!!! Incredible!!! I half expected John Robinson to jump in there and (disarm the chair from her before she weaponized it). Anyway, credit to my man Tim Floyd. He was a great coach, but he jacked up his career. And made some really poor choices. But you have to respect this one.
Most people see a brawl in a casino, they’re grabbing their chips and heading for the door. Well, that or grabbing their Blackberry and rollin’ tape on it. The rest of us are not walking right into the fray and run the risk of getting chaired like T-Floyd just did. Tim Floyd. Man! Someone to has to give this legend another shot after that heroic effort in the food court.
