Chargers Say Goodbye To L.T.

LaDainian Tomlinson…turn in your lightning bolt!!!” To the surprise of no one, including Tomlinson, the San Diego icon is out! This is where I’d love to say, “I don’t like that call…challenge that call…not a very good call.” I’d love to say that, but I can’t. Because it’s the right call! Challenge that call and you’re going to lose your timeout!

What’s to challenge? That he’s still an every down, feature back? That this is the year he gets back to being L.T.? This he’ll hit the field this season with a giant chip on his shoulder and backhand all the haters and doubters with a 1,500 year season? You mean all the things I said about the man before the start of last season?!

Look, I’m not here to crack on L.T. Great guy and a great leader! But leadership doesn’t slip tackles. Being a good guy doesn’t move the chains. Pride won’t juke a safety. Don’t confuse miles with injury. Something many of us did last year.... More »

Mir Wants To See Lesnar Die

Say what you want about MMA…and it’s definitely not for everybody. And I get that! But as a talk show host, I’m here to tell you, MMA’ers are some of the best athletes to rap with. It’s because they’re real, they’re raw. And they don’t just spew clichés. Then again, it’s tough to talk in clichés when you’re wearing 4 ounce gloves and choking people out. Almost all these cats are interesting and have great raps!

Urijah Faber is one of my favorites. B.J. Penn sends me beer every time he fights. And you never know what’s going to come flying out of Dana White’s mouth! He’s a dangerous interview, which makes him a good interview.

Now, the one guy I haven’t spoken to is Frank Mir. Although I’d like to, after the run he just took at Brock Lesnar. Remember, it was Lesnar who declared Mir a “stalker” and said he couldn’t wait to get his hands on him again. Now, Mir says he can’t wait to get his hands on Lesnar’s neck... More »

Squash Player Humiliates Opponent

I hate following the mob, and I did my best to ignore this. But at this point, I really can’t. You’re looking at New Haven, Connecticut…site of the NCAA Squash Championships. Site of a near smack-down on a squash court! How many of you have ever actually seen squash, much less played it?! And how many of you have ever actually seen anything like what happened?! Let me answer that…none of you!

You see something like that and you’re like, “Whoa! Whoa! Back that up! What was that?!” A 6-5 senior squasher getting right in the grille of some cat who goes about 5-5 after a championship point! Don’t confuse that with talking smack. That’s not smack. Smack would have been “enjoy your off-season” …scoreboard! Look up at it! No…that was borderline assault. An invasion of dude’s personal space! Essentially, a reason to go. And he probably would have if he wasn’t a foot smaller, 100 pounds lighter and a squash player.

But he had a... More »

J.R. Smith Sporting Third-Best Tat Ever

No sooner than he finished dropping daggers on the King and the Cavs, Carmelo Anthony played the “we’re not getting the respect we deserve card”. That’s where I typically bust out and saying nothing is more tired than cats saying they’re being disrespected. And that they should lead their team to something that matters before breaking out that card. But in this case, I’m not going to. ‘Melo’s’ right! They do deserve more respect. Well, at least his teammate J.R. Smith does.

Well his neck does. Check out my man’s ink! Awesome! Check out the Yankee logo right over his throat. Repping the ‘Big Apple’ on your Adam’s apple is hard! Respect, J.R. Now, if you can just get Derek Jeter to ink the Nuggets’ logo on his throat.

Even better, move over a few inches, and what do you have…a Transformer’s logo! Of course!!! The last thing you want is anything to take away from the Yankee logo on your throat and the only thing that can... More »
