NHL Needs Keep Players In The Olympics
I’ve talked hockey more on JRIB and on my radio show in this last two weeks than I have the last two years combined! So NHL’ers in the Olympics has to be a no-brainer right?! Well obviously not…since the league hasn’t even committed to 2014 yet. Look, if I were an NHL owner, I would ask what do I get out of this?! I shutting my business down for two weeks, mid-season, subjecting my most important assets, my best players, to injury. And the games completely jack with the schedule and increase travel. So there are definite drawbacks. But in the end the positives outweigh negatives. Don’t be so shortsighted. If a tree falls in the forest, does it make sound? There’s nothing that could have happened in season over the last two weeks that could have given the league the shot of adrenaline the Olympics have during that same time. You’re hitting casual fans now that you would ordinarily never have a shot at! And even if most of them don’t... More » |
Another Person Faster Than "C. Johnson"
There’s not a week that goes that by some wannabe speed merchant doesn’t pop off about dusting my man Chris Johnson. Even in the offseason he can’t go a day without getting name dropped by a burner. That’s part of being the fastest cat in cleats! Everyone wants to try you out. And you’re all wasting your time. Leave the man alone! You are not faster than he is. He’s faster than Ted Ginn! And he’s faster than Rajon Rondo! No one has a shot at smoking every coach’s dream. Well, no one except this guy… And he’ll actually get his shot at it tomorrow! Former LSU burner Trindon Holliday. And yes, the kid can fly! He’s a legitimate threat to my man. This isn’t just a guy popping off, looking to make a name for himself off C.J.’s speed. He was the NCAA champ in the 100 meters. And you all know the legend about in dropping a 4.2 in high-tops for the LSU coaching staff. Maybe! But he’s never done it for NFL scouts, nor on a stage like that.... More » |
Liddell Working Out In The Buff
This next burn is graphic in nature. Some content may not be suitable for children. In fact, some content may not be suitable for adults. Get right down to it…the take is too graphic too show at all. But I can talk about it! Let’s revisit the raging debate: Boxing or MMA. Which is better? Frank Mir starting the week by saying he wanted to break Brock Lesnar’s neck, thus resulting in him becoming first fighter ever to die from octagon related injuries. Was definitely a black eye for the sport. Point against MMA! However, the sport bounced back when a naked workout video of Chuck Liddell…with an equally naked female…went viral. I’ve heard of guys taking naked B.P., I’ve just never actually seen it! But we all saw Chuck getting after it in nude. That’s not going to negate the fact that Mir said he wanted to kill Lesnar, but it does help. I’ve never heard of a guy getting buff…in the buff…but it makes all the sense in the world... More » |
