Two Players Get Hit In The Package

I get that no college basketball player wants anything to do with the NIT. But that doesn't mean guys should look for ways to get ejected to get out of playing in the tourney. And from the looks of things, that's exactly what's happening. Check out Seton Hall's Herb Pope dee'ing up Texas Tech's Darko Cohadarevic by blasting him in the sweet spot…bang! You're gone, thanks for playing, Herbert.

Again, I get not wanting to waste your time with the NIT, but that's not all right.

Then there's Jackson State's Phillip Williams, who instead of checking Mississippi State's Dee Bost, instead blasted him with a similar shot. Bang! Peace out, Phil. And you have to love him, coming off the court, ripping of his jersey and tossing it in the tunnel, like he was the one who just got groined.

Mark it down as: DNP PD: player's decision. No one would blame you.

That's the biggest problem with the NIT, it's a terrible party filled with freaky... More »

The Mike Tyson Reality Show

Someone has decided to give Mike Tyson a TV show. Look, if the project involves Mike, I'm down…no matter what it is. Unless, it's a show about Mike racing his pigeons, then I'm out. Unfortunately, that's exactly what that Animal Planet is doing.

That would be like giving Wolfgang Puck a TV show and asking him to make peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. It's Mike Tyson! Point a camera at him and start rolling. There's your show! And it will be great. I want to know if he's going to make good on his threat to eat Lennox Lewis kids, or if he'll bite him on the leg again, or rip off Evander Holyfield's other ear, or get more face ink or, knock out more paparazzi at the airport. Yeah, because that guy didn't deserve that! You poke the bear, you're going to get cold-coked.

The possibilities are endless; yet they're going to show him raise and race flying sewer rats. I know, Mike is down with his birds. And his first fight ever was a result of someone... More »

A #16 Will Beat A #1 This Year

As you probably know, a 16 seed has never knocked out a one seed…ever. But I'm going to call my shot right now…it's going to happen this year. Now, I'm not saying the Mountain Hawks of Lehigh are going take down the number one seed overall in Kansas. And while Arkansas Pine Bluff is feeling it after winning the play in game, they're not going to beat Duke.

But there is a 16 seed that is going to knock off a one. And that 16 is…wait for it….Lane Kiffin! That's right. Trojan honks, your head coach is getting clowned by Esquire Magazine. Or, by Vol fans by way of Esquire Magazine!

The mag' got really innovative on their website and went with a bracket, not for college teams, but for “sexiest woman alive”, very progressive. At this point, what isn't there a bracket for? So obviously, someone in editorial, with an axe to grind, put Lane Kiffin, not his wife, Layla, but Lane in against the one golfer Natalie Gulbis, and he has in her trouble.... More »
